SF SNAPPERS join USBS

We are very pleased to announce that the South Florida Snappers Travel Baseball Organization and Snappers founder Ernie Gonzalez will be forming a partnership with U.S. Baseball School!  The Snappers will retain their strong brand name "Snappers" and will add U.S. Baseball School to become the U.S. Baseball School-Snappers.

The Snappers have been in existence since 2004 and have been a very successful travel baseball program, based out of Miami.  Many of Miami-Dade county's top high school players have played in the Snappers organization at some point on one of their various travel teams that participate in tournaments throughout the nation.  The Snappers currently consist of teams ranging in age from 11-18 years old. The Snappers have a strong history of participating in strong tournaments inside and outside of Florida including:

  • USSSA FALL STATE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS. 14 & UNDER DIVISION
  • FLANAGAN FALCONS ELITE HOLIDAY BASH CHAMPIONS. 16 & UNDER DIVISION
  • USA CHAMPIONS CLASSIC RUNNER-UP. 14 & UNDER DIVISION
  • HAA SUMMER SLAM TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS. 13 & UNDER DIVISION
  • FLORIDA PREMIER BASEBLL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS. 13 & UNDER DIVISION

  • USSSA THANKSGIVING CLASSIC TOURNAMENT RUNNER-UP. 14 & UNDER DIVISION
  • CYCLONES BASH 2009

The founder of the Snappers, Ernie Gonzales, has been coaching baseball in Miami for seven years.  In addition to his duties with the Snappers, Ernie is currently the Assistant Athletic Director at prestigious Gulliver Prep High School in Miami as well as their head JV Baseball Coach.  Ernie's player development attitude (opposed to "winning at all cost") fits in perfectly with U.S. Baseball School's Player Development philosophies.  The Snappers success has been attributed to intense practices based on teaching the games fundamentals: base running, conditioning, fielding, throwing/pitching and hitting.  Ernie is very excited to have the Snappers join U.S. Baseball School and said;

"I am really looking forward to this partnership with U.S. Baseball School.  U.S. Baseball School's training systems and technologies will be a great compliment to the Snappers organization and we feel the marriage of the two organizations will truly create a winning situation for all parties involved, especially the players".

 The U.S. Baseball School-Snappers will continue to be based out West End Park located at 250 SW 60th Avenue in Miami, FL and will be headed up by Ernie and supported by his staff of Player Development Specialists.

If you live in the greater Miami area and have any questions for Ernie or want to find out how to play on one of our Snapper teams, feel free to reach out to Ernie at snappers@usbaseballschool.com or info@usbaseballschool.com .
