Camp/Clinic Formats

1. Workout and Evaluation Sessions

All players (including pitchers) will be able to work out at one defensive position (outfield, infield, 1st Base or catcher) and all players (including pitchers) will be allowed to participate in batting practice.

Secondary pitchers will also have an opportunity to throw a bullpen side session for evaluation on Day 1 since they are not likely to pitch during their game.  Primary pitchers are gauranteed to pitch during their game.

Workout/Evaluation Format by position

Outfield-Field (in total) 10 fly balls and groundballs and make throws to 3rd base and Home.

Infield-Field (in total) 10 groundballs (at him, up the middle, in the hole and a slow roller).

First Base-Field (in total) 10 groundballs (off the bag, on the bag, 3-6-3, slow roller).

Catcher- Will make 10 throws to 2nd Base, field 1-2 bunts, block and scramble 10 balls.

Pitcher (Primary) Bullpen-1 inning from windup; 1 inning from stretch (7 fastballs, 3 curveballs, 5 change-ups each inning).

Pitcher (secondary) Bullpen-1 inning from windup; 1 inning from stretch (7 fastballs, 3 curveballs, 5 change-ups each inning).

Hitting- All players will get 15-20 swings

 

2. Specialized Group Instruction Sessions

Each player will participate in three group sessions and receive hands on training from our Player Development Specialists.

3. Specialized Individual Instruction Sessions

At each of our camps we offer specialized individual instruction sessions to all players based on the workout and evaluation.

  • Strength and Conditioning for position players and arm care for pitchers.
  • Defect Removal- This unique session is designed to help players focus on removing any defects in their pitching, hitting and fielding mechanics.  The program consists of drills and hands on training that allows each player to learn the skills the mechanically correct way.
  • Video Analysis is an add on that players ar encouraged to utilize.  Video Analysis is one of the greatest tools we can provide to help a baseball player optimize their performance and is the starting point of all U.S. Baseball School (private) Development Programs.
  • Base Running

These sessions, which will take place concurrently with the workout and evaluation sessions, will be taught by our certified Player Development Specialists.
